Facilities at Links View

A desirable and wide range of facilities is available as part of retirement living at Links View. From your practical day-to-day needs to an enjoyable schedule of leisure pursuits, there is a wealth of choice on your doorstep.

Practical Facilities

We’ve added all the small details that make a big difference. The thoughtful additions that provide comfort in the communal areas throughout Links View. For example, there’s a handy rail around the public corridors and plenty of chairs where you can sit to take a breather. And we know that plenty of toilets is appreciated, so there’s a resident’s toilet in the entrance to avoid the last-minute dash home before a day out at the beach.

We have endless facilities available to us, including a laundry, computer room, library and seated exercise classes in the fitness room. There’s a restaurant and spacious lounge in which we hold many social functions. Our needs are met by a very professional and wonderful staff, at the same time affording us our independence.

On-site facilities and amenities beyond your front door include:

Resident Chef

One of our most popular facilities is the restaurant, complete with our resident chef. Freshly prepared lunches and afternoon tea are offered most days and served in style, making every day feel special. And evening meals can be ordered for residents to enjoy in their own apartments.

I enjoy having my meals in the dining room a couple of times a week. The chef and staff are excellent. The food is delicious, and I get to see friends and catch up with what’s going on. The food is served with properly dresses tables, making every day feel special. Oh, and it’s a great break from washing up

Leisure Activities

If leisure facilities and activities appeal to you, Links View has a programme that may appeal. Activities include Bingo, Dominoes, a monthly Church service, Craft Club, periodic entertainment, and a Monthly Quiz. These are organised by the Resident’s committee, who are open to new suggestions to keep you entertained and active. We also have a weekly seated exercise class to keep you supple and mobile. Our cinema room is open daily for you to watch a movie or catch-up on your favourite TV shows.

For day-to-day activities, you can have a brew and start a jigsaw in the Hobby Room with friends or enjoy a spot of exercise in the fitness room. And there are plenty of spaces and corners, such as the library or tv room where you can chat with family, friends or neighbours.

There is a cinema room, hobby room and library. Residents arrange most of the activities such as whist, dominoes and quizzes, exercise and painting. We come and go as we please.

I have enjoyed five years at Links View with many friendships, mutual caring and laughter.
